Army Time

We had a fun morning on Sunday. The RTI at Camp Williams had been shooting Friday, & Saturday & were still shooting on Sunday. So before church we decided to take Scotty out to see the "Big Guns" (Howitzer's) shoot. He thought the bus that took the students out there was cooler than the actual Howitzer, but we didn't get any pics of that. We spent about an hour out there. He was a little scared at first because they are so loud, but after a couple times he was ok with them. What a lucky kid Scotty is to have airplane rides, ride horses, ride 4 wheelers, play in real Fire trucks, and see real army stuff!

We didn't go trick or treating but decided to go to our ward's Trunk or Treat this year. It wasn't too bad, but in our neighborhood, I think it takes away from the Halloween fun. We have a safe, quiet neighborhood, and I think almost everyone went around to houses after trunk or treating too. Oh Well... We had my sister Sarah's son with us on Halloween because she was working her week on. He's the little "Stinker"! Scotty loved being a dragon because he had wings and could fly! Eric stayed at the car and passed out candy, while I took the boys trunk or treating. Scotty did pretty well at saying "Trick or treat!" Then he'd try to take a handful of candy! He also helped himself to Chris' candy bucket when they would put candy in Chris' bucket. Chris walked holding my hand and his bucket in the other and would hold his bucket up to every one who had candy. Scotty thought it was the neatest place he'd been to. He just went from car to car saying "Trick Treat!" Then would drag me and Chris to the next. We were slowing him down because I was holding his hand.
We didn't go trick or treating to houses this year also, because Eric's good friend, and old boss, Kent, was home on leave from Afghanistan, and we all went to see him before he headed back over for another 2-3 months. He looked good, but he'd lost almost 35 lbs! We'd like to ask all of you to please keep all of our soldiers in your prayers!
We hope you enjoys these few pics!

Halloween

So here are our "Jack-o-Lanturns". I got 1 pumpkin for each of us, Eric, Scotty, myself, and my sister Sarah and her son Chris, and an extra 1 for the dogs, I guess! So I was planning on carving them for Family Home Evening on the Monday before Halloween, which didn't happen, of course. We ended up not carving the pumpkins together at all! Sad, I know! Sarah carved the smallest pumpkin for Chris, and the scary one in the middle for her. Eric carved "Homer"! He did a great job! His friend texted a picture of it to him on his phone and made a pattern from that! And needless to say I did the rest of them! And yeah my arm was sore by the time I was to the last pumpkin!
